Staff at our local branch office (on Contra Costa Blvd) is very friendly and helpful. This has been on several occasions when we needed assistance with our ATM and VISA cards, which has been fairly frequent in the past year. Most recently, my husband misplaced his wallet, so he went in with no ID or information about his cards. They easily verified his ID and gave him a new card right away, and reminded us to always cancel cards right away when they are lost.I cannot overstate the convenience of having the branch office so close to home. When we have a problem, it is so much more easily solved in person than on the phone. The office has a box for papers that need to be destroyed. It has a change-counting machine. We used the notary services many times when we were setting up a trust and wills and other legal papers. They create new ATM and VISA cards right away, so that we don't have to wait several weeks for cards to be mailed to us.In addition, the VISA and ATM card management of PSCU is quick to notify us if it detects a possible mis-use of a card. Unfortunately, there was one recent occasion when I was called about a questionable purchase and I couldn't understand the name of the vendor (the customer service person had an accent), and I almost rejected a purchase I made because it didn't sound like the name of the vendor I used.
