The nurse was remarkably proficient with outstanding people skills; exhibiting expert technique, safety protocol, and knowledge. The schedulers were friendly and helpful, but they should be empowered with knowledge of the test being scheduled. I had self-administered an antigen test with a negative result and called to schedule a PCR test. The first scheduler said it would be a PSR test, which I assumed was similar given the context, so I made an appointment. Upon receiving a presumptive negative and a note that “all negative results must be confirmed with PCR testing” from the patient portal, I called back and the scheduler was unable to tell me if the results would eventually include PCR test findings. She said I would have to speak with a nurse at Dr. Barnes’ office and was unable to transfer me to someone with knowledge of the test type and related process (I asked if I should check back with the patient portal for further results, or if I would need to schedule a PCR test given the message from the portal). I also inquired that if it was a PCR test, if those tests were fairly accurate with the new variants, but I was unable to get an answer or a transfer to someone with that knowledge. This is important because of work safety obligations and precautions as a caregiver for an elderly parent. Thank you for soliciting feedback - everyone I encountered was friendly and professional, but it would be helpful if schedulers would be empowered with more knowledge and where to transfer calls for general questions about the tests. The nurse that obtained the lab samples was great at her job all around and also provided information about the patient portal and when to check for results. Have a great day!

This was the only experience I've had with your lab that I've had concerns about.
