purchase transaction of buying auto online and unseen other than pictures of the auto on website, contact was made and rep responded quickly ... purchased vehicle , paperwork was overnited to me , rec'd , signed and returned the same day, we paid for delivery , then notified the windshield had to be replaced which took another week , car was delivered fine, no owners manual in glove compartment , I requested one, after almost 2 weeks nothing had arrived made contact with the person who handled the sale, he said he couldn't find one but could order one, I instructed him to please order one and was told he would mail it... again weeks have gone by ...still no owners manual has arrived. I found one elsewhere , owners manual , stock BMW black cover with all supporting new car info, this I found and purchased online from a website.

Va was not available as he was busy with customers before I arrived. for my service appointment. However, a female adviser who's name starts with an "M" was extremely helpful. She stepped in and said she would get me checked in and get my car ready for service. She also communicated with me until my car was ready. Forgive me for not remembering her name. Again, she was extremely professional and customer friendly.

I will divide my experience into two parts, the purchasing part and the subsequent post-purchase.The purchase portion of my experience was outstanding. From the minute I made an online inquiry regarding the vehicle, Steve Lerner was excellent in communicating the vehicle's availability and condition. He was willing to speak with me on the phone and in addition to texting me. When my wife and I arrived on the day to purchase the vehicle, Steve was gracious, friendly, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond to help us, including with our trade-in.However, my experience after purchasing the vehicle has been subpar. I was initially told by the business manager that I would be able to transfer my DC plates to my new vehicle, however, during the process of running that through your system, it was discovered that I could not transfer plates and would be issued a temporary VA license plate while the paperwork was in process. It was clear that the business manager had little to no knowledge of DC's DMV process, something that was not revealed until I was too far down the line in the purchasing process. The business manager claimed that the dealership had plenty of experience registering vehicles in DC, however this does not seem to be the case. Unfortunately, over a month later, I still have not received my DC plates, and I am on my second set of temporary VA plates, even though I reside in DC. While I understand the DMV ultimately controls the timeline, the lack of knowledge and candor, as well as lack of communication regarding registering my car in DC has been disappointing. I had hoped that by going to a dealership, this car registration process would be smoother, but this has not been the case. I am still in the dark about when I will receive my new plates, which is troublesome.To recap: Steve Lerner was above board in all of my interactions with him and I can not thank him enough for his professionalism and friendliness. However, the car registration and titling process has been a nightmare.

I drive over an hour and pass a BMW dealership that is 10 minutes from my home to exclusively use Crown BMW on West Broad in Richmond. Mike Stevens is stellar. His communication and customer service is top notch.I simply won't consider going anywhere else.
