I wanted to bring attention to the current condition of the workplace, which is in need of significant improvements. The office requires an overall makeover to create a more functional and welcoming environment. Additionally, we are in need of essential office supplies to support daily operations. It’s also important to note that pest control services are necessary due to health and safety concerns. Addressing this issue promptly will help maintain a clean and safe workspace for staff and visitors.2nd and 3rd shift needs to have security in the access since the door stays open and unlocked throughout the night. Staff should not be approaching walk ins without them being cleared for safety on those two shifts.

we can keep more staff if the pay is competitive with other mental hospitals

Employee wages have to be reviewed and updated. Department structures have to be redesigned for better distribution on duties and a better flow through the chain of command. The food in the cafeteria has to be upgraded and an automatic lunch tracking system would help instead of tickets given out. Employees need better perks, and PTO should be upgraded, as this might improve employee retention. Example, free lunch one day a week for nursing staff, breakroom equipped with snacks where you can use your employee card to purchase.

Increase pay (not competive with other facilities); increase job-specific training instead of HR general training; hire for quality

Fire people who is not doing their job and stop giving out verbal warnings. Nurses need more mental health awareness and sensitivity when working with patients. MHT should be 2 per unit. Nurses are participating in bullying and harassment like mean girlsI saw an emergency whete the nurse refused to call 911 when it was a medical emergency because she thought the patient was faking it. Refused to touch the patient and yelled at the MHT instead. The nurse was only given a verbal warning and came back to work the next day.

Offering more competitive pay would not only boost staff morale but also aid in attracting and retaining qualified employees. Additionally, providing well-fitted, comfortable, and professional uniforms can contribute to a more cohesive and confident team environment. Improving the quality, variety, and nutritional value of the food available—both for staff and residents can significantly impact daily well-being and satisfaction. Finally, addressing staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage can reduce burnout, improve care quality, and foster a more positive and supportive workplace culture. Investing in these areas can lead to a more efficient, motivated, and dedicated team.

I think someone should spray to reduce the number of spiders in and around the facility.I feel patient safety is taken very seriously in this facility and I believe that all events that are reported are followed up on immediately and investigated thoroughly.

1.) Increased communication. 2.) Town halls to Q&A with staff, vent, problem solve. 3.) Job fairs. 4.) Increased base pay for RN's and MHT's to reduce OT, call offs and incentive pay.

Safety regarding medication management from 1013 patient that arrive overnight. Some of these medications are controlled substances and must be handled appropriately. File cabinets within the access center are falling apart and being held together with duct tape. We need a better system for storing valuables that are put into the safe. When a patient as a walk in needed to be transferred to a hospital for medical clearance, many ambulances leave before the Memorandum Of Transfer is completed. Cooperate recommended that we fax the MOT to the receiving hospital. However, all the printers in the administration building are unable to fax papers to hospitals.
