Pay/compensation could be much higher for staff with licenses and certifications. We’re told the pay is based on experience and what the typical pay is across the state for our position, but we’re actually one of the lowest in the state as far as what clinicians are offered.

The place could be given a fresh coat of paint and/or redesign of the outside buildings.Make sure group rooms have enough tables and chairs, there are only 3 4×4 Tables and 6 chairs in the group room for C1. C1 has 30 participants, and the great majority always attend, so they're usually sitting on the floor and filling out sheets on the walls or floors.

For improvement, I would suggest developing social skills because communicating effectively and collaborating with one another are important to keep up with things.

While Ridgeview Institute Smyrna provides valuable services and maintains a strong commitment to patient care, there are several areas that could further enhance employee satisfaction and organizational effectiveness. One significant area for improvement is employee compensation. Consideration should be given to increasing salaries to better reflect workload demands, rising costs of living, educational achievement, professional licensure, certifications, and years of experience. Competitive compensation is essential for attracting, retaining, and rewarding qualified professionals who provide high-quality care and support to patients.Additionally, continued investment in staff wellness, professional development, and retention initiatives can help reduce burnout and strengthen morale. Improving communication across departments and providing timely updates regarding organizational and clinical changes would also enhance collaboration and efficiency. Finally, expanding discharge planning resources and community-based support services for patients and families, while creating more opportunities for staff feedback and participation in decision-making, would further strengthen the organization’s culture and long-term success. These improvements would not only support employees but also enhance the quality of care and services provided to the individuals and families served by Ridgeview Institute Smyrna.

Hiring the right people for management positions and listening to both sides of a issue and reduce the high turnover.
