I am very thankful that Dr. Vasa referred me and that I chose Dr. Sershon as my surgeon. I am thrilled with the results of my two surgeries and after almost 2 years of not being able to garden or be as active as I prefer, I am back to full mobility and enjoying being very active. I could not be happier with Anderson Clinic, Dr. Sershon, and his care team. I also want to note that Dr. Sershon is not only an exceptional surgeon, he is also a dedicated researcher seeking to improve his patients’ lives by tracking and assessing outcomes then making changes to his practice based on the research. You have nerve to ask about how my visit with Dr Sershon went since I did not see him. He could not be bothered to talk to my son in person after my surgery even though my son was sitting in the waiting room. And he was not there for this appointment either. If the appointment was supposed to be with the PA, I could have seen her at the Shirlington location which is much more convenient to me. Also I was handed a packet of materials about what I can do at four weeks after surgery and exercises I could start doing. None of that applied to me since I had hip revision surgery not hip replacement surgery. Your materials should apply to the type of surgery that the patient had.

This appointment was with Annie Davis, PA. She had a handout that was very reassuring. She was also upbeat, observant, and listened. While this is a common surgery done with amazing precision and efficiency, it is still scary, painful, and exhausting for the patient. My thanks and gratitude to all who work to make this a positive experience.

So far my post seems to be going well(18 days). Following the exercises & getting stronger. The process & staff post op at INOVA/Anderson Mount Vernon are top notch & are very caring my in room tech (Bright) deserves recognition for his 5 star service.I would like to get some PT as I have previously not walked normal on several years due to bad hip. Dr. Sershon is my guy...I love his confidence.
