The strip on shower door has been replaced, glued a couple of times but keeps falling off. Gage said this was a newer type strip and hopefully would be better. The quality of construction materials seems mediocre. Gage is very pleasant to work with.

After much consideration, I have decided to move to another property. Unfortunately, this community has gradually become more like an assisted living environment rather than the independent living atmosphere it was intended to provide. There are several residents whose family members appear to have placed them here because they cannot afford assisted living care. Many of these individuals have limited mobility, no transportation and in some cases noticeable memory or Alzheimer’s-related issues. Sadly, some families only seem to check on them occasionally, which creates safety concerns not only for those residents, but for others in the community as well.Another major concern has been the condition of the dog park. For the past two years, it has not been properly maintained. The park is frequently flooded in the mornings making it difficult and unpleasant to use. More recently, excessive watering has caused moss and mold growth throughout the area, which is unhealthy and unsafe for pets.In addition, although this property advertises itself as pet friendly, it often does not feel that way. Residents frequently complain about dogs barking while in the dog park, despite that being the designated area for pets. One example that stood out was when a resident asked a new tenant if they had a dog. When the resident answered yes, the resident responded “Well, I hope they are quiet, because our floor is quiet.” Experiences like this make pet owners feel unwelcome in a community that claims to accommodate animals.I had hoped to stay long term, but the overall environment, lack of proper upkeep, and growing concerns about resident safety and pet friendliness, no longer meet the standard of living I am looking for.

I like living here. I know many of us just feel a bit lack of caring about our thoughts. Blaming “corporate” is often how they shut us up—and follow with telling us there is no was to contact corporate. I have tried an on-line email that I found on my own, with never a responsive of any kind. I don’t even know who is receiving this survey??? It’s a bit insulting that we have to negotiate our lease for those who are loyal and want to continue to call this our home. Pricing, at the time our lease is renewable, for the same apartment should be the same for everyone at that time, yet there is a great difference in what some of us pay for the same apartment aside from possibly location. Another thing that just came up is turning off the pool heater. If an appropriate temperature is selected (84 -85) why does it ever need to be turned off? It won’t even come on in the summer if it’s heated more than that from the sun. It was off or broken for a considerable amount of time before spring this year. Dusk and evening swimming gets more chilly for us—we are older. Also, lighting on the pickleball courts is just terrible. I know I’ve said more negative than positive and do want to emphasize that I am enjoying so many things here while missing good, healthy, active people who have moved away to similar other 55+apartments (there are so many)—leaving can be contagious. I appreciate the opportunity to vent🌻

I am very happy here. Sage Mesa has never looked better. I’ve made wonderful friends. Hopefully I will be able to stay and not have to move. Michelle does a wonderful job of keeping the building and surrounding extremely clean. Michelle is an asset to Sage Mesa.

When i moved in the pool area was 24 hours and that was changed to close at10pm and open parking is tough to find and not to many spots available for people who don't want to rent out a covered parking and 1 covered parking should be free to each resident. A lot of the residents often asked if I lived on the property or if I was there taking care of a family members so it was kind of awkward for me but they were very polite and nice.
