Dr. Nagda and his team (Kelly Dickson, MA, et al) are the best. He surgically repaired my torn rotator cuff in late January...and by mid July, I am fully healed, strengthening the shoulder, and able to play tennis. He is the consummate pro.

Dr. Sameer Nagda is an exceptional doctor. His knowledge and skill as an orthopedic surgeon are phenomenal. He takes the time to explain what’s happening in the joint and what the options for treatment are. He genuinely cares about his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Nagda.

I sent a message as well. I did not meet with the doctor, who btw I have been referred to by several friends including another Ortho doctor who does not do surgery who said Nagda was an excellent surgeon and doctor. This doctor also recommended Dr. Hamilton for my knee which turned out to be a great choice. When I got to your office, which is technically in Alexandria, I met with the front desk who checked me in to take my co-pay. I next met with an x-ray technician, a medical assistant, a Physician Assistant (PA) who was very knowledgeable, and a professional scheduler to book appts and the surgery. I knew the PA was the only one available for an appt today, but I have to admit it was disconcerting to get a recommendation for reverse shoulder replacement from the PA and not a doctor as well. I left feeling like I needed to hear from the doctor about this major diagnosis and possibly after an MRI, which was not offered. I was told I would need to pay an additional $1K out of pocket for a Cat Scan, which I understand is needed for the doctor to order the right sized equipment etc. for the replacement. I was also told I needed to book a pre-op two weeks before the surgery and it was going to be with the PA and not the doctor. I asked if it was common to not meet with the doctor who would be performing a pretty major surgery for shoulder replacement before the actual surgery? The scheduler said if I wanted to, I could book an appt with Nagda, but acted like it was a special request. I was taken aback but maybe it was because the first appts are usually with the doctor, which mine was not. Anyway, the experience was efficient and very business like. My husband and I have had very good experiences with the Anderson clinic and I am sure this will be similar.
