I was seen by kyla for a routine hygiene appointment. She was excellent with her manner, asked about my cleaning routine, did the clean, scale and polish. She then offered further advice to help with my use of both an electric toothbrush and the use of teepees. Very professional, as was her assistant.

I went in for an emergency appointment on Friday 4th at 22.10. After the xray I was told my lower bottom right side wisdom tooth needed to be extracted. So the dentist proceeded to extract the wisdom tooth which took him about 15 minutes and after which I was discharged with a plastic bag with instructions and gauze. There was no after care or antibiotics given. After a few days passed the pain got considerable worst, so I phoned for a follow up to get someone to take a look. I went in on the Tuesday afternoon and the dentist who dealt with me, did not give me any safety glasses or a tissue paper as a bib. He just rushed everything and within 10 minutes he was done. He told me it was a dry socket and also gave me amoxiocillian to help against infection. I wasn't pleased on how quickly he was working. A week has passed and the pain is unbearable. I take 2 x 500mg paracetamol, 2 x 200mg ibuprofen every 4hrs and amoxiocillian 500mg every 8hrs and it just helps the pain, but as soon as the meds wear off the excruciating pain returns. I should be given a full refund after poor service leaving me feeling so much worse off.

I had a crown re-cemented in as an emergency. It fell out again that same evening. I attended a different dentist and it was successfully completed. I requested my money back and was told someone would contact me this week. Today is Thursday and I still have not heard from anyone.

When it comes to dentist visits, historic bad dentist experience put me off, I haven't been for 20 years. I was very nervous about seeing a dentist but had no choice a broken tooth so painful and due to go on holiday. How times have changed... From the voice on the telephone when I called for an emergency appointment to the reception staff, dental nurse and the dentist, what a friendly reassuring surgery. I was a nervous patient and they looked after me superbly. I had an x-ray, numerous injections, tooth pulled and antibiotics. I survived, they were brilliant, and when I'm back from holiday I will be booking a checkup. Thank you sooo much.
