Put me at ease (even though change of dentist). Hygienist was thorough and gave relevant advice.

I visited my local dentist Wednesday and was told I needed a surgical extraction. I asked how long was the wait and got told it was 3 - 12 months time. I had a horrendous night Friday and contacted 111 for advice i was told someone would contact me in the next 24 hours . Nobody contacted me and luckily it was not too bad Saturday, but Sunday it came back with a vengeance. In desperation I went to the hospital and they contacted Scott Arms Dental Practice and I got an appointment for Sunday afternoon. I am nervous about the dentist but the pain overrode that I was seeing by a very nice dentist who gently and slowly looked at my tooth and did an x-ray he explained I only had a small piece of tooth left out of the gum and he said he could take it out there and then but if it broke off under the gum then it would need a surgical extraction and I would need to wait until the other dentist arrived to remove my tooth. I asked if they broke the tooth would it be painful and they said yes that was the risk I took. As my tooth was not too bad at that moment I chose to have the other dentist removed it. They got me booked for later that day so I went home and came back at the time stated. The dentist I waited for had a look and said it was time to numb the tooth. It was a bit sore but nothing compared to the toothache. I must admit I was still a bit nervous but I tried my best to relax. After not very long they said it was out and wouldn't be giving me any more trouble. I am so grateful for the care, kindness and expertise of all the staff. I was given advice on how to care for my face now the tooth was gone. They also said my face will swell and it has but I think it is a small price to pay for the tooth being gone. I would recommend the practice if you need a dentist in a emergency or just for a routine appointment. I obviously had to pay privately as it was a Sunday night but it wasn't as expensive as you may think and it was a small price to pay for my sanity and I would do it again if I needed to.

Excellent service! I had a large filling fall out on the weekend and was due to fly abroad the next day! I made the call to Scott Arms Dental practice for an emergency appointment and within 1.5 hrs my filling had been permanently repaired. The girls on the front desk were an absolutely joy to deal with and were super helpful. Pav, the dentist and his technician were very efficient and professional and just sorted me out straight away. Absolute first class service and highly recommended.

Having an emergency appointment on a Sunday, there was a 40min wait but the dentist was so nice and friendly and put me at ease, I have taken my wife there for emergency treatment in the past and the service was just as good

Appointment with the hygienist and as always received a professional, friendly service and left with a much brighter smile. I've been coming to Scott Arms for years for dental treatment and would still do so if I moved to Edinburgh! Can't recommend them highly enough. Thanks Team!

Dr imran and adela were very friendly and took time to explain what they would be doing and how it would be done. Had a ten minute wait due to a staff shortage but again was explained and apologised for in advance

Had an emergency tooth extraction due to pain. My husband wasn't very well at the end of my appointment but staff looked after him amazingly! So thank you. Went above and beyond.

Very happy with the Dentist who did my treatment 1 of the best dentist been to he explained everything thing nice and cleary Dr Imran +Adela i would give 10 out of 10 thanks for the service
