I was not happy with these issues that took place. 1. I was placed in a room where the person in the next cubicle was dying. There was a lot of people coming and going. Then early the next morning, he passed away. I know that I am in hospice, but to experience something like in a facility that was my first night...That gentleman should have been placed in a room where his family and friends could have more privacy. I did not need to experience that whole scenario. 2. My wife brought in documents that stated she has "Power of Attorney." She was expecting to see Jessica, (Jessica was the person who called and requested the documents). Apparently, Jessica was working from home and did not inform my wife of this. My wife asked the Receptionist to get someone of authority so that she could hand the documents over to them . The Receptionist stated that she could handle the documents. My wife then had to emphasize to the Receptionist that she was not allowed to handle the documents since these documents are extremely sensitive. She again requested to see the Office Manager or the CEO. The Receptionist finally went and got the Office Manager, Laura. My wife also stated that the documents were not to be emailed. 3. My wife packed enough bags, wax and bases for my stomas to last at least three weeks. When she came to pick me up, she noticed that there were none left. This means my supplies were stolen by the nurses/CNAs and used on other patients, and the bags that were placed on me were extremely substandard. When I got home, my wife had to immediately replace both bags. 4. I had one Colonoscopy bag that literally fell off of me, onto the floor. I discovered that some of the fecal matter had gotten on my clothes. The nurse helped me get changed, but instead of rinsing the fecal matter off my clothes and putting them into a separate plastic bag, she placed the soiled garments into the laundry with the rest of my used garments. 5. On my last night of stay, another gentleman was placed in the next cubicle. I did not get any sleep because this person snored loudly, then would talk loudly in his sleep using profound language.

Everyone was excellent, attentive, cheerful and kind. I felt great because of everyone, even though I wanted to get home to family and back to work.

Very nice, clean, friendly and helpful place. Both restful or with activities as needed, as well as awesome PT staff for physical progress. Pets welcome was nice. Laundry service was helpful.

All the personnel were pleasant, professional and very helpful. The facility was kept very clean (for the two months my husband was there). I would, and have recommended Sierra Basin to many people as a place to rehab their loved ones.

Great staff who put my health first then made all effort to get me discharged

The regular care staff did a good job, but some of the fill ins weren’t good at all. One male hire was even a bully!

Some very dedicated employees who were overshadowed by those who didn’t know what they were doing. It was at times, a three week nightmare. However, from a cleanliness perspective the facility was spotless.

Staff were always helpful and considerate.

Outstanding nursing skills available and valuable teaching skills. I have never had a better experience and learned so much so effectively.
