-Hire experienced techs. Hire for quality not quantity.-Check new hires mental health background to rule out unstable staff members (quite a few staff members who are currently employed need to go because they are more unstable than the patients during their crisis state and it’s hurting our facility tremendously. Patients notice)-Units need 4 techs when unit is at full capacity.-Hire professional nurses who will work, respect others, and not hide in the back room in the back cubicle half of the day to complete an admission because they can’t handle patients coming up to the desk to ask a simple question.-Hire nurses that do not disappear for 10 hours out of their 12 hour shift and get away with it because the house supervisor is scared of completing disciplinary action because they have worked here for 6 years together. Everyone wants to watch the cameras but no one sees that multiple days a week? Interesting.- Disciplinary action needs to be taken for techs that do not do their job and think that they could sit for eight hours or sleep for eight hours. That is another situation that can be easily caught by watching the cameras. Another interesting point as to why nothing is being done when clearly management is aware. On a positive note,- I appreciate you Juan!- House supervisors that deserve recognition are Rashonna and Myra. They treat everyone the same and that is what we need in our supervisors.- The new CEO is extremely personable and I’m happy to have him at SOBH. Good Luck to you!

Pay staff what they are worth , the staff that are actually interacting with the patients , especially those who work overnight . They are always understaffed and face the most diversity .Hire permanent security overnight not staff that could be pulled to the floor to be an MHT

* More focus on, and accountability for, staff communicating in a more professional and compassionate manner with the patients. Especially the staff on the floor.*Improved budget for acquiring additional supplies to improve the quality and variety of groups.

Be consistent with all employees. Some departments get called out for policy infractions while others don’t.

I think we need more mhts on the floor. I think staffing certain units with extra techs would help prevent burnout and ensure there is adequate support if a code occurs. This way we don’t have to pull from security or utilize nursing staff to preform mht responsibilities.
