It’s extremely divisive and childish start off with new administration then clean house with the techs

Better communication between nurses and staffing. The way that employee of the month is chosen.

Staff safety not having 3 staff have 4 LOS and a 1:1

I would suggest that Mental Health Technicians have some kind of medical background or experience. These employees spend a lot of time with patients.

Pay range is incredibly small compared to other facilities. Incredibly understaffed from nurses to clinicians. Night shift is considered last on all accounts, staffing, celebration, when food and swag is offered, and most importantly support and safety. Day shift does not support or understand the struggles or lack of support on night shift and is not taken into account when scheduling transfers leading to severe burn out and I have only been here for 5 months. INTAKE TECH NEEDED ON NIGHTSHIFT NOT JUST DAY SHIFT. Walk-ins also need to be prioritized and not just pushed to night shift leading to a heavy first 6 hours of the shift because we have people sitting in the waiting room for HOURS simply because they are not a transfer. This also leads to further agitation of individuals seeking services leading to safety concerns. And it also costs us potential patients. We also need better security on night shift there is rarely someone at the desk due to staffing needs on the unit.

Silver oaks can improve on patient care. Sometimes it feels like the hospital is only trying to make money and we are not taking appropriate patients. Silver oaks could be pickier about who they accept. I also think we should expand the units and separate high and low acuity units for men and women.
