I do not recall the name of the representative that I spoke with on 04/16/2026. The information was not found as I spent 30 minutes with the representative on 4/16/2026 for a disputed transaction $29.98. I called on 4/21 or 4/22 to go over a different transaction for $150 dispute. The $29.98 dispute with confirmation code 22107 was not in the system. I was dissatisfied with that event. The representative on 04/21 or 04/22 tried combining the claims. She was helpful.

I called to stop payment on a check that you mailed. Reconsider your policy on charging for stop payments. I used YOUR bill pay, you control when and how it is mailed NOT ME. When check fails to arrive do not charge me to stop payment - I had nothing to do with it other than use a service you offered.

I am very disappointed in Smart financial and will be closing my account this weekend. I have 4 deposits come through my account every month and i was unable to get an overdraft fee waived. I have been a client for over 10 years and have never had habitual usage of an overdraft fee reversal. I had one waived in 7/2025 and before that some time in 2022. That's unacceptable that i was unable to get a $32 fee waived.

Smart Financial has such an impersonal atmosphere. First, the decor is uninviting and "distant," which makes walking into the bank feel "cold" and not much on friendliness. Screen banking is definitely impersonal. You might have to wait and then you speak with someone that should have called in that day. It is definitely not private as Smart Financial wants customers to believe when transacting business. But, in planning these changes no one surveyed the customers evidently and the decisions were made. Also, if Smart Financial did survey the customers it didn't matter. I do NOT suggest others to open an account with Smart Financial. Better attitudes and decor leads to a more enjoyable and friendly experience.
