I came into this process needing to secure my loan and purchase quickly. The nature of a lot of back and forth via email between myself and my loan specialist led to a rather lengthy, prolonged process. This is the third vehicle I’ve financed through SFCU. The first two were incredibly simple. Everything was worked out, setup and once I walked into the dealership, I essentially did nothing beyond signing some paperwork and left with a vehicle within an hour. This time, not so much. I spent roughly 4 and a half hours at the dealership before a final draft letter for payment was provided to the dealer. Much of that time I spent on multiple things gone calls and emails from my specialist. I thought I was walking in needing merely a final purchase order from the dealer which was promptly sent as soon after my arrival. My specialist was kind and courteous but, the communication received was not quite timely or accurate. There was a power issue at the branch which affected timeliness initially however, even once back online, things did not go smoothly. I had spoken with him first thing that morning and informed him of my plans. Once there was an availability issue on his end, some communication would have been greatly appreciated given I was waiting at the dealership. That would have provided me an opportunity to more easily change my plans. I only found out about the full shutdown once I contacted customer service trying to locate my specialist. On a few separate email communications, I received discrepancies about the interest rate and monthly payments for my loan that matches neither what I could see online nor what had been previously communicated via email and verbally to me. My reason for financing with SFCU was mainly to continue to build on what has been a long relationship as a banking and loan customer to receive a competitive rate and facilitate a clean, efficient transaction. I am disappointed to say I didn’t really receive that.

Machines at Sugar Land branch are horrible, very loud fan, telephone very difficult to use as cord tension is very strong. I HATE the machines at Sugar Land

I hate the drive through teller. I don’t like the fact you don’t handle any banking needs inside, very impersonal experience

When I went to SFCU the teller at the front desk explains that half of the lights were out on half of the building and how much you will be able to withdraw, so I thought that it would take a long time, it was a shorter time than usual. Keep up the great job!!
