higher staff compensation that compares to neighboring facilities.better unit staffing ratios that closer match similar facilities.

See previous page.

Change the variety of snacks for the patients. As well as having more different types of “day’s specials”

I feel like we could better serve the pts if staff worked on being friendly, empathetic and doing a better job training people in verbal deescalation techniques. Everyday I see codes and incidents that come from staff ignoring or being rude to pts. Yes I report but not all the time… I would be the in the House Supe’s office everyday. When pts don’t have access to clothing (just have paper scrubs) this causes conflicts, withdrawn pts and AMA- we need real scrubs and Belongings that are brought promptly. Our hospital demoralizes pts when we deny clothes but also when we take away furniture. In my mind this is totally unacceptable and embarrassing. Please invest in furniture that can’t be thrown and do not force depressed children to eat off a dirty floor. It creates a hostile environment for pts and staff.

Better staffing ratios. Stocking the med room.

Having enough desks and computers for clinical staff.

Staffing. Smokey point is extremely understaffed for the job. I know several of us that have jobs at telecare compass connections and Fairfax. They all staff appropriately for the job. It’s not feasible to meet pts needs as well as keep them safe while trying to keep staff safe as well. It’s not safe to have one nurse in the med room often while my other is assessing pats and one tech is trying to keep that day room under control. Iits impossible when all the q 5s is all you can do. You need more staff . 4 staff with 28 pts? That’s not enough. It’s unfair. Unsafe. If you’d just staff more patients and staff would stay. There would be alot less AMA. Instead it’s so much more focused on cutting costs. We don’t have some of the best MHTs a lot don’t pay attention. It’s uncomfortable to come to work and have 2 MHTs and then realize one of them is useless.half of the other nurses do purple rounds behind the counter still. We don’t have the time to di rounds. several of the MHTs just walk up and down the hall without going in the rooms. For tbere rounds. Preventing law suits, injuries and other incidents should be higher priority. That’s what this kind of staffing will lead to. The staffing here has been really bad these last months especially this last one. If you really want to hear what we think and say you will listen please staff better. It will make Smokey point better。 Staff and patients will be happier. Busy overworked staff leads to dissatisfaction with patients. It’s a problem when you can’t leave the unit to get a patient some underwear.

cleanliness, organization, labor deployment

Communication is feel that nursing/MHT are not on same page as the clinical staff. They expect the clinical staff especially therapist and CM to do more than is required for their jobs. Many nursing staff expect CM and therapist to do most of their jobs. ( call to confirm Hopelinks, wait 2 hrs to let CM a ride didn't show up, wanting CM to get housing which is not CM job in the amt of time pt here. )
