I still have holes in my basement walls that were never addressed and one of my trees was also damaged during the install process. The panels are performing well but I'm ambivalent about using SEW as a recommended vendor in the future due to these issues.

The Solar energy world guy who scoped my house left 5 holes in my ceiling, they have not been patched. The crew that went do my job left the job unfinished with solar panels in my yard and when I called Solar Energy world marked the job as complete.

SEW communication needs to be improved internally and externally. My project was delayed weeks when the area that submits applications didn't have my Dominion Power account number and they said nothing. My field energy advisor only found out about the problem after I repeatedly asked about the delay. I've had a list of questions about my system since February that I'm still trying to get answered. The person assigned to answer my questions has not even acknowledge getting the questions or providing status for providing answers. All along the way I had repeatedly had to question the status of my project and often it was hard to get a reply in an timely manner. The installation left the main cable that connects to my meter spliced together instead of directly connected to the meter. I had a hard time getting this corrected and getting the county inspection completed. Poor communication at SEW was a reason for this problem. Over all it was a frustrating and time consuming process for me. It seems like I needed to be like a project manager, checking status and pushing to get things done.

Brian was very good and I love the fact that he loves dogs because my dogs are annoying and loud normally but he didn’t care about me leaving them out which made my life honestly easier! Also a very well informed about solar and nice guy.

Ryan was very personable and engaging. He was able to explain everything thoroughly as well as keep our attention while doing it.
