-COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENTS. IT WOULD CHANGE LIVES. SERIOUSLY.After being here for 6 years, I have worked so hard to earn what I do now, but still it is not proportionate to what new people are starting at. This is a huge source of animosity for many employees. Also, we are hurting financially as a community. It is impossible to buy a house, keep up on rent, food and gas are at all time highs. Now medical debt is being collected. Student loan rules are far stricter than ever before. I am struggling financially I know many of my coworkers are as well. I know it is nearly impossible to make everyone happy in regards to pay however for those staff who have been committed to this hospital for more than 2 to 3 years, maybe even 4 years because after Covid, I would say about 2022 is when the economy really went downhill—for those staff doing a cost of living adjustment would be life-changing. I also think it is imperative to hold on to staff who have been here for a long time and do their job well in order to pave the way for new staff coming in and for new staff entering administrative position it just helps those transitions so much. I know that state organizations are the primary entities to do this for their employees but it’s my main suggestion.I also would say that every nurses station should have a whiteboard in it like 2BW does, to decorate and make it feel more inviting for patients by putting seasonal things up as well as patient art.My next suggestion would be to give every single unit a wall of chalk paint for them to do art on. I have brought this up in the past people think it’s a good idea, but then it doesn’t go anywhere. I think it’s a good way for patients to express himself. It’s also not markers or crayons where they will draw on the walls elsewhere and have it damage Property. My next suggestion would be to be a bit more strict in regards to callouts/showing up late…as well as the general responsibilities of the job. As I said, before, I do appreciate the empathy that the administration of South Sound gives to staff however, I do think some staff do not perform to the best that they can because they know they can get away with it. Same goes with callouts I can usually expect the same few staff to call out almost every week on the same days. This is just something that should be addressed sooner than later.I also think it would be really helpful for all staff to have a work email and I know this is inexpensive thing. I’ve discussed it briefly with Jack before and the cost is great—too great, but I one of my previous jobs. Everyone had a Microsoft work email and it was also in Healthcare. Upon being hired and trained, we were told to check that email daily when we got to work. This was the way that we were communicated with primarily, both about work things and pt care. It was very helpful. I think a lot of things get ignored here via Inovalon because it’s just another notification to dismiss on your phone. There’s also no way to make Tiger text really private to people whereas with a work email you could for example let someone know that they’re not rounding within proximity and this has been noticed so this is like a verbal warning. Make sure you stay on top of it. I just feel it’s a better form of communication but again not sure if it’s feasible.I have a lot more, but usually I bring them to the people that I think can help make them happen so I’ll continue to do that.

Staffing . Having a float nurse and an intake nurse or two intake nurses depending on the volume of people should be a must . if staffs are not overwhelmed with admission they would more likely makes space for new admissions. Overall it's a great facility I personally love my workplace

Needs to increase staffing so there are enough staff when the code is called. It feels unsafe to work in such an environment.

Listen to employees and have town hall meetings especially with change in management for introductionIncrease employee pay rate especially with current economy or at least try to match other facilities payrates

Staffing especially for the acute units. The units are too acute and are not safe to have only 3 staffing. I would like there to be a guaranteed RN, lpn and a tech and a floating tech between the units. So many people have been injured the ladt few months.Since most people don’t want to work in 2BE- to be a bonus added on the shift/ night differential to be extended to day shift staff.
