While I love my job and what I do, the constant understaffing makes doing the job adequately nearly impossible. Having to tell patients to adjust their expectations is disappointing. I do not feel that patient or employee needs are being met, feedback is met with resistance and the facility's goal has shifted from patient care to making money.Keeping neglectful, abusive, and inadequate staff around because the hospital needs staff is unacceptable. No one wants to have to deal with sexual harassment or overcompensate because some staff can't do their jobs.

Accountability for all staff on following rules and procedures. Appropriately rounding, completing job duties including cleaning the unit at night.Inappropriate rounding, and monitoring of the milieu sometimes due to patient care needs, sometimes related to staff in general

Voluntarily training on deescalation and how to deal with a violent client. If we don’t have an activity coordinator for clients going outside for fresh air, there needs to be a floating MHT/LPN for every 2 units to take the clients. Otherwise we can’t bring client to get some fresh air.I feel as if kitchen staff should have dividers for the food to prevent cross contamination.Floaters provide breaks, unit cohesion, blind spot detection, redundancy, flexibility depending on client needs and now the only way some units can bring clients to the courtyard/gym.
