I waited over a month to have my recap meeting with Dr. Dovey -- the first availability was in December, about a month after my retrieval. I waited by my phone for the call for half an hour and it never came-- when I called in, I was told it had been cancelled THE DAY before (after waiting a month!) And that I should talk to my new doctor in SF instead. When I finally had the consult with the new doctor, she said she couldn't tell me much about this retrieval since she didn't work on it, which is reasonable. But it means that I never got any follow up after this November retrieval, in addition to never being told that my follow up was going to be canceled in the first place (I checked that it was still scheduled the day before the call, it disappeared the day of on the portal). So not only did I not get the information I needed, I was really yanked around and my time wasted.

All staff, but special shout out to Sadie, Callen, Belle and Dr Okeigwe- all great humans.

Spring pure patients on an IVF Assembly line. Stop calling them my 'care' team because they do not know how to care. Spring has made this difficult journey even more difficult. Shame on you. If it wasn't for Progyny, I would have left and never come back to you.

It would have been ideal to have all of my medications go through Alto. For some reason, the second batch of medications had to be picked up and I wasnt able to get them in time. I asked for them to be moved and was told they couldnt. Since I couldnt pick them up I never took the medication I needed to help with ovary swelling and I couldnt pick up my pain meds. Thankfully I didnt need pain meds but I was worried about my ovaries. Also, I didnt have anyone reliable to pick me up. On the day of surgery, I learned that I could have signed a waiver and made different arrangements but the language used during prep was that I *had* to have someone there. This wasnt possible for me, and it really threw my day off. Its not possible for a lot of people Id guess, so using that language that we have to rely on someone else when we dont all have someone else to rely on was limiting. I ended up having to opt for Bart after waiting for over 2 hours for a ride. If I had known I could have just signed a waiver I would have done that because I knew going in that it was highly unlikely for me to be able to find a reliable ride. Lastly, there was a day when I had to bring my niece with me to the office. I had literally no choice - she is 7 and I cant leave her at home alone or in the car. Again, no other reliable adult. The nurses were very kind and she really enjoyed her time there and said she likes everyone. I understand the environment, but the notion that I cant bring a child to the office because it might hurt other womens feelings is not okay. What about my feelings when other women bring their partners? Not only do we see children everywhere in the world, its not going to break someone to see one in a fertility office. Just like its not going to break me to see women with their partners joining them in this journey while Im on mine alone. Its not okay to have to choose between putting my niece in danger or hurting someones feelings. I would encourage you to change this policy.

it was a very positive experience overall

Great experience. Only thing I was surprised by (not mentioned in prep) was the hormone/emotional comedown post-retrieval but I found lots of forums online that helped me navigate through it.

It was a great experience. Thank you!

I am so thankful to the entire Spring team - you support every step of the way!

Due to cycle dates, a lot of my communication with the team needed to happen over the weekend. So it was a bit harder to get responses then, and I mostly worked with an alternative provider. Not sure what could be done about that though, just part of the process.
