I loved everyone at Spring but had a terrible experience with Maddy Parker. Dr. Okeigwe is a bad ass and lovely. The nursing staff and everyone else were so kind and wonderful at their jobs. I found Maddy Parker to be rude, combative, and unprofessional in a non-adversarial setting. She almost made me sour on the clinic but once I never had to interact with her again, everything went back to being pleasant.

Only thing that could have been clearer would be to understand what a back to back cycle would look like on a calendar during first calendar review with the team.

I am so grateful for everyones kindness and patience! I only saw my primary provider a few times (initial consult and one monitoring visit, which understandably was rushed), but I didnt mind that - I feel comfortable will all the providers Ive seen. The only thing I wish were different would be that I wish I couldve talked to a doctor (any of the doctors!) sooner than 2+ weeks after my retrieval, especially because I wanted to start another cycle right away (and am currently doing that, without having spoken with a doctor yet). I understand they are super busy, but since timing is critical, even just a short follow-up call to talk about next steps before I had to actually start those steps wouldve been great. Also, my lower rating for the ease of ordering the meds was because the pharmacy had some trouble scheduling them at first, which was stressful, though it turned out OK in the end.

Great overall! 4.5/5. I was a bit caught off guard by my discomfort/pain immediately before the retrieval as well as the rockiness and length of recovery. With patients at high risk for OHSS I might recommend some customized retrieval prep and post-care instructions, clarifying and putting a finer point on likely potential risks (e.g. pain, resolving cysts, longer recovery time). Im fortunate with work that its easy for me to hop off for a few days, but having more or less expected to get back to normal the day after the procedure, Id have had a tougher time stepping away on short notice if I had a more demanding job. Still, overall outstanding care and absolutely would recommend. When I had a sharp pain and nausea in the office, the care team responded incredibly well and Im super grateful for that! And at the end of the day, I got a bunch of eggs frozen which is the most important bottom line for me and I cant thank you all enough!

Early on, communication was really confusing. I received multiple long emails that were difficult to keep track of, and it was confusing to manage two portals (engagemd and the other one). I felt like I was receiving many many streams of information. Also, little things were inconsistent, like the timing for my injections were listed on the portal were listed for 6pm, but I was told to inject between 7-10pm. Finally, at one point my nurse (Maddy?) took a call with someone else during my virtual visit with her - perhaps youre short staffed but it was odd. My favourite person was Melanie, who was kind and very approachable and easy to contact.

Overall phenomenal experience. Main challenge was that there is SO much information, and while it is largely thorough and clear, it is cumbersome to navigate the volume across two different portals (Spring and EngageMD) and the lengthy emails. I ended up printing everything out and still messed up my meds at the beginning. So theres an opportunity to consolidate a bit. But the care team and procedure/recovery all far exceeded expectations. I was a bit surprised at the projected cost to me for rounds 3&4 as my financial advisor didnt detail that in the beginning; it would be really helpful to have a calculator or a quote or something to better understand the various coverage and maximums across the multiple insurance companies.

Dr Okeigwe and her care team are a dream to work with. This process is really tough emotionally and physically, and I always felt completely supported and well informed..
