The only issue was not being able to get an appointment soon enough, everything else was great!

In every cycle with Dr Dovey's team, there has been a serious mistake. This cycle, I received a phone call at 5pm (actually a few minutes after) on my trigger day telling me to inject with cetrotide at 5pm. But Dr Dovey hadn't told me I'd take a second cetrotide injection that day (nor had anyone else), and I didn't have any more. My egg retrieval was very nearly jeopardized. It's upsetting. And predictable. There were two other miscommunications this cycle too. In November, I was supposed to be switched to Dr Fisher. That has not happened, and I've already completed yet another full cycle with Dr Dovey. I am now being scheduled for a yet another unwanted cycle with Dr Dovey.

We did not get enough information regarding PGS testing. On our first consultation at the Oakland clinic we were basically told you had to do it if you were older. It is supposed to be a tool to single out the best embryo, but what if you only have one single embryo? We now have nothing to transfer if the test comes back abnormal. Also after doing our own research, there is plenty of evidence of mosaic embryos resulting in successful pregnancies.

Dr. O is so great! She always made me feel at ease, very caring and outstanding bedside manners. The MAs were also great. The nurses were usually more responsive by phone than by email. Its been a little bit of a struggle with the finance side. My insurance has covered all appointments, but denied the procedures. I have yet to find out how much Ill end up paying just for the procedures and Ive asked for this info 2x.

I would appreciate more consideration around trigger and retrieval scheduling. I let staff know in the morning that I had theater tickets for that evening and gave them my preferred times (so that I would be able to see the show). Those requested times werent met (which I understand, although my request seemed do-able). What was frustrating was that I was told Id find out my trigger time by 2 and only found out at 6pm, which was very short notice for rescheduling our plans. With more consideration, my request could have been met, and communication could have improved
