Asking and listening to what information the potential patient would like to know

Overall it was a very good experience. Some comments for improvement are as follows: initially we were unaware of the amount of email coordination required both to begin and throughout the processes. I suggest informing patients immediately that they need to check their emails daily or multiple times a day. The trigger shot was very painful, please make patients aware of this in advance. We were not told about the underground parking lot at the Daniel Burnham SF office, I suggest notifying patients. The multiple website systems were confusing (engage MD and Spring Portal) it would be better to just have one. Most importantly: I was in an immense amount of pain the hours leading up to my retrieval, please make patients aware of the possibly discomfort and pain before the retrieval.

I super appreciated being able to be brought in earlier!

The attitude and tone of the initial consult was harsh and too rushed with an immense amount of statistics thrown at you. As opposed to showing some time to get to know the patients situation and address the need with care, and deliver messages in a truly human way

Yes, the staff was good and they were very kind and informed over the phone. However I felt very mislead and upset after I saw Dr. Tran. From my phone call inquiring about the process I thought I was going to learn and be better informed of how I should proceed. Instead I learned nothing more than what I already knew. I felt like it was a complete waste of my money. $500 is not a small amount of money. I thought I was going to understand my fertility better, but instead the doctor basically said that there is no way to know unless you go through IVF or IUI. Why did I need to pay $500 for someone to tell me that, if that was what you were going to say. I spend time to fill out the questionnaire and not once was the questionnaire talked about. The doctor demeanor was nonchalant and I felt like I was just another patient he was saying the same spiel to. This was my first time talking to someone about fertility and I am so upset and angry at the whole situation. I want my money back and I wish someone warned me. Instead I was mislead to believe I would learn something from this appointment. If anyone cares about my feedback, you are welcome to call me and Id be happy to share more.

Even with the med-pack, it would be nice to order a little bit extra medications than needed to avoid any surprise. I had a bad experience one day that the pharmacy didnt receive my prescription. In the end, I have to contact Spring multiple times and go to the pharmacy to pick up the medications. When I was there, the pharmacy asked me to pay although I shouldnt. When everything gets resolved it was 7pm. It is pretty stressful since I dont have any medication left at home for that night. Just one additional pen/vial as backup would be a lot easier for me.
