With COVID, it would be nice to get more information on resources on disposing needles and donating extra medicine. Also, I think the bloodwork should be done by experienced nurses given we have to get so much bloodwork done. I had a trainee who had to poke me multiple times before they were able to draw blood. She eventually called over the more experienced nurses.

I do wish I heard from the Doctor a little more than the nurse. But I LOVED when my doctor called personally after an appointment with a different Dr. to update me about my med changes. Its also very stressful not knowing if your nurse will call at 4pm or not till 6pm especially when its embryo reports. Those flowers MADE MY DAY after my transfer. That small gesture really meant the world to me. Thank you.

The overall experience was positive. There are two things I think could be improved 1) I had horrible experience during blood draw. I told the nurses that I didnt drink enough water this morning but she said its fine. Then they poke me three times and was not able to get enough blood out. I requested to stop and drink water. They were able to draw enough blood after this. I hope the nurses have listened to me and treated me like a human being. 2) I dont get to see my provider often. Among numerous visits, I only got to see and talk to my primary provider three times. The first time is at the initial consultation, the second time is two days before retrieval, the last time is on the retrieval day.

Results sometimes got uploaded to the portal a bit late. Also, I would have appreciated more detailed reading on the process and the tradeoffs folks were thinking through. When I talked to Dr K and and Dr P, I felt I got my questions answered. But I didnt always interact with them and found myself looking for (potentially less reliable or relevant info) on the internet.

Everything during and prior to my retrieval was amazing. Post-retrieval has been horrible. 1) the text for this survey is completely insensitive - We hope your egg retrieval went well ?? The clinic is aware that my retrieval was completely unsuccessful and all of our embryos did not make it. 2) I have not spoken with anyone who has been able to help us to understand why we had such poor results and how best to proceed. I had to request an appointment with Dr. Tran. However, the team seemed more than happy for me to sign up for another cycle without any insight about what would be done differently this time, which made the whole process seem transactional and less interested in seeking positive outcomes. There are so many choices in the Bay Area for fertility treatment, I am not convinced we made the right choice.
