My initial consult with my primary doctor was very brief. This was because my husband and I were new to this, and did not know what to expect or what to ask. Our doctor recommended IVF but did not go into details of ICSI or frozen transfer, which was on our consent form. Only later when we reviewed the consent form did we realize we did not have the opportunity to talk to our doctor about these decisions. When I asked my patient navigator to make an appointment, she declined. I felt pretty disappointed in this. I understand that the doctors are busy, but as a new patient, I expected more from my care team to ensure that my questions are answered and that all aspects of care are discussed up front, rather than relying on the patient (who may not be that informed, and is relying on the doctor to inform her!) to provide all necessary information. I think that would have set us up for a smoother cycle in the beginning.

The Spring care team is wonderful and very thorough in explaining every step. My primary provider is Dr Tran which I did not feel gave me time to respond to my question or took the time to checkin.

The process is a little nerve wracking. I never felt like I had choices. Which I think is just how it is, but I just wanted to share the customer experience. It feels very helpless to go through without having a sense of the protocols available and how they are being chosen
