I think it would be helpful for me and maybe for others to have a “Nortary” here in Sullivan Assisted Living.Meals have not been as good as they were a while back.I like “Katie” th new med tech .

When we pay for care I’m a little confused. Like If mom needs her food cut up each time in order to eat. I am often there and her food isn’t always cut up for her. Or if we pay to have mom dressed each day, sometimes her clothes are very dirty or she has dad’s clothes on. Can you find someone to play chess with dad? We pay for mom’s shower help twice a week but her nails are always very dirty. Often the same m &m is left on the floor for days. We pay for housekeeping it seems this should be swept or mopped up. Can someone cue my mom to eat and drink more often throughout the meal time? Thanks for all you do, mom and dad are comfortable.

More flavor in meals would be appreciated. My family member complains that everything is too bland. As people age their taste sensors diminish and it can take more herbs and spices for them to sense the flavors. Maybe include a side of extra spice for those that want more flavor.

Short staffed, long wait for aids to help me at times. Offen long time before getting some medication refilled.

Very kind and helpful staff. I’d like to see more effort put into getting both my parents up and moving and sitting or walking outside rather than sleeping in bed so much. I’ve been asking for physical therapy for my mom and for a qualified individual to prescribe a walker or wheelchair if she needs it. She has been using whatever is left in the hallways. I’m not even sure if she needs a walker or a wheelchair- I’d like a professional to Give us a report on that. I don’t know if you do this already, but I’d like to have a thorough cleaning of their room and bathroom every so often. Sometimes I find broken glass or something that’s been spilled on the floor behind their chairs and it is still there a week later. I love the staff attitude towards my parents. They are incredible and insistent when necessary. I did not, however appreciate their post on Facebook with a picture of a gag box of “ol fartamins.” My parents had five children in six years and then 10 years later adopted a sixth child. My mom took 10 years to get her undergraduate degree but then went on to earn three masters degrees. All while raising six children. My dad was the president of the district 81 school district for over a decade and you can still see his name on plaques on schools that were built under his presidency in Spokane. They’ve traveled the world. So they have a lot of stories to tell. I get the joke but not if the people taking care of my parents feel that they are just old farts that ramble on.

Security is a possible problem as many times when I have entered the facility the front desk is unattended and there is no staff around to monitor who goes in or out.

Very concerned about the residents not having someone to lead them in exercise and corn hole. It's the only activity and only fun some of the residents have.

Only concern I have with with better information and instructions on taking any new medication brought in to me. I want to know if take with food,best time to take and what it is for. Also results of my blood test.

I think Chelsey and her team of care providers are excellent. Weekend coverage can be an issue at times, but I know that Chelsey is working hard to be fully staffed.

Primary issue at this time is the choices and quality of the food and the menu.
