I want to start by saying, I’m not sure which maintenance issue I’m responding to with this survey but I’ve lived in this building for 12 years and in general I have been highly disappointed with my experiences in the last few years. The quality of work has declined. I’m having to report the same issue over and over again. A fan installed in my sister apartment one floor down fell out of ceiling. Window in my daughter bedroom that was supposed to be fixed a year ago, continues to blow in on days that’s there strong wind gust. I’ve come home only to find that the workers have left the boxes of whatever they are installing in my apartment all over the room. Or they’ve thrown all the pillows off my couch and left them on the floor. The one bright spot are the people who work in my building. Edgar and Rex are amazing. Friendly and kind. But the workers that come in from maintenance used to be much better. And it’s really sad. I used to have the highest of respect for WC Smith workers, I’m sorry to say that last few years has done damage to that reputation.

Rex and Edgar are as fantastic as they come. My roomate and I are super grateful for all the work they do for everyone in this apartment complex.

The Calverton is truly a wonderful place to call home, and it’s because of the people who care for this community every day. Marvin, our property manager, is incredibly attentive and consistently goes above and beyond. He makes everyone feel welcome and supported, and it’s clear he takes pride in creating a building where residents feel seen and cared for. Mrs. Carolyn at the front desk is an absolute joy — coming home to her warm greeting is one of the best parts of living here. She sets the tone for the whole building with her kindness and steady presence. Rex is fantastic at what he does. He helped repair my bathroom recently and handled everything with such professionalism, friendliness, and efficiency. It made a world of difference. And Edgar — not only is he a skilled, responsive maintenance professional, but he’s also a neighbor I feel grateful to have. His commitment to the building and the people in it is felt every day. This whole team is what makes The Calverton feel like a true community. I’m genuinely grateful for the care, effort, and heart they pour into this place.
