We enjoy living at The Carlisle however would like to propose the following. There is very much a community of renters here who have been living here for a long time. We would like to see regular town halls organized in a constructive manner that would allow for an exchange of ideas. Second, we need to understand why an elevator that was shut down for an extended period is out of service again with no clear time frame for future operations. And now an elevator is not working going to the garage. What is the maintenance regime to ensure such situations do not reoccur? Third, greater care needs to be taken when suites are repainted and maintained. In our unit painting was clearly done too quickly and is sloppy in places. Fourth, there should be incentives for long term renters and we urge Minto to look at multi year leases. There would be advantages to both parties.We believe that the Carlisle has many positive aspects especially the courtesy and friendliness of the staff. We urge Minto to find ways for more two way dialogue where ideas can be exchanged in an open and positive way. This is just good business practice. Reasonable people know that not everything they want is possible financially or otherwise for Minto. Perhaps one way is an informal Residents' Council that meets on a quarterly basis. This is an issue we understand has come up before in speaking to residents who have been here much longer than we have. As barbeque season approaches, there is little hope that the long standing need to have a new properly functioning barbeque will be available on the 4th floor terrace.

Chris was great

The windows are over 40 years old and are continually frozen in the winter. I continually have to wipe the water from them several times a day. They must be replaced.

Chris is great - totally reliable and capable; pleasant when he does his work too.As for snow clearance and the driveway generally, the refusal to make the fob reader more accessible, the many disruptions to heat and electricity, the frequent lack of concierge coverage, etc. etc., I could not in good conscience make a carte blanche recommendation of the Carlisle to others.
