I work both CHI and CHA. In. Both buildings, I would say the positive is the support for making our community grow from campus and corporate support levels. Less teams meeting.

This is for CHI only- I really appreciate how our team works together. All the directors are willing to stop what they are doing to help another department that is struggling or in need of assistance. I also really appreciate how open everyone is to different ideas. It makes you feel good when you have a creative mind and people aren't just shooting down your ideas. Kudos to Louisa for cultivating an environment where we are open to different views and we have the tools to be able to step in where needed, and feel appreciated doing so. I know I can always come to her with an issue, to vent, or even to share good news and she will be there in any and all capacities. She really is doing an excellent job.I'd also like to say how much I appreciate Ms. Liz and the team over at CSL. They're always available to answer any questions new staff (or older staff) may have and they always do it with a smile. Ms. Liz has a huge heart and I'm so thankful for her and her time. For CHI/CHA involvement: I'd like to see a more cohesive transition between the two facilities. We are one property but it feels like completely different worlds. When trying to plan events that affect both facilities I was shut down by other departments at CHA and was told that we are two different facilities and they'd like to keep it that way. That's not what I was hoping to hear, and it is a little disheartening to know that's how some of the directors feel at CHA, but have no problem calling CHI when an issues arise. Shout out to Gracie in LED at CHA for jumping in with both feet and making the LED her own. She's doing a wonderful job.Overall an excellent place to work, great staff, the residents are open to new activities which is super fun and exciting, and the HR staff over at CSL are so amazing to work with .

I started working at the Claiborne about three months ago, and since then the job has progressively gotten worse. The nursing manager has allowed some coworkers to avoid doing their jobs while still expecting certain employees to work extremely hard, often leaving us in pain. After communicating these concerns to her, I received no response. I feel that, as a manager, she should want to communicate with her employees—especially when they are being honest and sharing their true thoughts. Fortunately, certain nurses at the Claiborne have made the job much better by giving me insight on how to do things, as I am not receiving proper guidance or support from the manager.

Treats employees fairly. One thing that would make my experience better is a raise. I work really hard to stay on top of making sure the residents rooms are nice and fixed properly. Top pay for my position would be beneficial and I won't feel so discouraged putting in the hard work that I do.
