Well the Best thing that has been ever done, was you getting rid of an ED who did nothing for the employees and CD who should have never been in the position. The current ED & CD are making great strides for the Community and with the employees. We lacked leadership for so long, it's great to see people who care what goes on in the Community with the Residents and Employees.

Leadership in the community is a small clique of friends. Employee morale is down. Feels like racism at times. Decisions are based off feelings rather than ethics. Employees are unheard treated like the help.

Trust your employee to do the job they are hired to do. DSSI has to many vendors listed, divide vendors by departments.

Specifically, in my community, we are working as a team. We are all on the same page and it reflects with the happiness of our residents and their families.

I believe The Claiborne's leadership is out of balance. I do not understand why we have to have so many items sent up to higher leadership for approval on something minuscule that does not require the attention of a RDO, etc. Our EXD needs to be allowed to make her rules that works best for this community while still following guidelines created by corporate. She does not have any "power" here and feels like the lack of authority is pointless. The power imbalance in this company makes no sense. I love my residents and feel like I have a purpose here but it is my "superiors" that make me question my job sometimes.
