Move Out: Elevator wasn’t held despite 5 email messages exchanged including a reminder the day before. Staff messed up my move out date Generally: over my four years at the building, the quality of service provided by the staff went down each year. At the end, asking the staff a question essentially made me feel like I was bothering them despite it literally being their job

I HAVE NOT MOVED OUT!! My lease ends on 1/8/2022. Mgmt told me that since I have a new roommate moving in and the old roommate is moving out on 1/8/22, they have terminated my current lease a month early in order to accommodate the new roommate! HUH!? This is NOT standard practice. To make matters worse, I got an auto-email from the Douglas telling me my renters insurance has been cancelled and Douglas will now charge me $40/mo until I buy new insurance. Well, my policy was prepaid for a year with an outside firm. So why would it be cancelled?? I emailed mgmt yesterday at 11am; so far, no response. YIKES.

The leasing office has been not very helpful I would almost say rude the lack of communication is some of the worst customer service I have ever received and I will not be recommending the Douglas to any of my friends
