We have enjoyed our time here. The complex has served our needs well. However, we are contemplating a move to CA to be closer to family for a number of reasons. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and friendly community.

Use fobs for door entries. and the fob retrieved once a renter leaves. On week ends I see many past renters come into the building keying the door numbers. Need security for sure.

My time here at The Lakes has been pleasant for the most part. and I hope to be able to renew my lease.Staff has been available as I need it. The staff is friendly courteous and helpful.

When I first moved in all my community family and I enjoyed our social get togethers. We had a great time enjoying and caring for our community and one another. For the last 2 years all but about 6 of us are original residents. There have been things that have happened that make me very upset; i.e., things taken from the great room, exercise items taken, doors propped open at night, cigarette and weed odors, game room left messy, people that look as though they don’t live here wandering around the halls and exercise room, loud talking & cursing as well as loud music. ALL these things are cause for concern. Tami does firmly address these issues as they occur. I’m sure when this property was opened with Senior living in mind none of these kinds of things were anticipated. I do realize these same kinds of things do happen in regular apartment living. However, it seems that in the last 2 years some people have brought a different mentality with them and don’t live by the standards we first enjoyed here at the Lakes at Grand Prairie. Maybe mandatory community meetings to address these issues in person could be held and conducted by an off site member of the organization to demonstrate backup for Tami; who is just WONDERFUL!! Since the great room will only accommodate a certain amount of residents at a time; maybe the meetings could be held in groups and a sign up sheet advising dates and times the MANDATORY meetings will be held. Maybe addressing the unacceptable issues in person would have a better effect. Some people probably don’t read the emails and those who are negligent of living by the community protocol may need these rules to be expressed in person. People responsible for these offenses should understand this community is for 55+ Seniors and the majority of us moved here to avoid the lifestyle of regular apartment complexes. This is a great community & I believe the majority of us want every resident here to be a good neighbor and NOT destroy our community with unacceptable behavior by them or their visitors. I suggest group meetings so that it is reiterated to residents that the protocols MUST BE FOLLOWED to ensure that our community continues to afford the type of lifestyle it was originally planned to be. I do understand that some people are not going to abide by the rules no matter what. I really wish there were some way to ascertain the non compliant ones who are with NO doubts responsible for these offenses and address them in a way that legally protects the company. The majority of us just want to live here in the peace and enjoyment we first experienced when we moved in. As Seniors we should be able to enjoy our community as we grow older without a less than acceptable lifestyle issues that some have brought with them. These are my observations and opinions. While I know things are always changing; I would like to see things changing for the BETTER and NOT the WORSE! If I continue to live here July 31st will be 4 years. Tami has been the manager all of the years I’ve been here and is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! My remaining here has a LOT TO DO WITH HER being here. While I understand that apartment living has increased in price in the last 4 years; renewing my lease will depend a lot on if I can afford the monthly rental increase. ALL of the boxes I checked so positively are because of Tami, Salvatore & our excellent maintenance guy, Larry. I do appreciate this opportunity to be heard. Thank you.

I love it here at The Lake’s I have met the most Beautiful people here love my apartment! The staff is Great! The Maintenance staff are outstanding! The Activities are so much fun!!!
