Prior to moving in, there were cat scratches on all the furniture in the living room: the armchair and the couch. I believe that I submitted photos to you in the check-in survey I took after getting the keys to my apartment. Also, the paint issues were there before I came in. The apartment's common space has not been inspected for many years because residents have renewed their leases repeatedly. All of these issues were there before I moved in 100%.

Turn cleaning fee $6.25x2: When I moved into the apartment in 2023, I had a roommate already living in the apartment. I was told the lamps in the common space were property of the apartment. If I would have known the lamps were trash and not property of the apartment, I would have donated them to goodwill.Turn damage fee $35: I am unable to see the “damage” in the picture shown. I cleaned all the walls in the common area and spackled any holes for the next paint job. As stated previously, I have lived in the space for 3 years, since 2023, with a roommate already living in the space when I arrived. The common space was not updated/cleaned/painted when I moved in due to someone already living in the space. I have pictures of the common area when I moved out that does not show any damage. (supporting document 8)Turn damage fee $60: when I moved into the apartment in 2023, I was told I was able to hang shelves in my room. I spackled all holes and cleaned the walls before I moved out. I also lived in my bed space for 3 years with multicolored bathroom ceiling and walls due to the previous paint job (supporting document 9). There was also paint on fixtures in my bathroom. My bedspace and bathroom were not properly painted when I moved in. To charge me for a full bedroom paint job is unacceptable when the holes, I spackled, were due to hanging shelves in my room (supporting document 10). I was also told all bedrooms get painted after someone moves out, which is why I spackled the holes. I was also instructed to do this by the office.I also have a 3 minute and 55 second video I will share if needed for more supporting documentation.

Hi I vacuumed before I left and I’m just unsure as to why I’m receiving a cleaning charge.

I was charged for $50 for carpet cleaning of my bedroom. I spent a total of one night in that bedroom and vacuumed before vacating. I think it is ridiculous that I am being charged this fee when I did not dirty the room during my time there and also cleaned it before I left. Carpet cleaning is a standard part of cleaning an apartment before the next resident and I should not be charged for it.

At the beginning of my lease I submitted the required prior damage paperwork, where I submitted a picture of the chunk of carpet taken out. I will take responsibility for the key and repaint.

I was charged for carpet damage/replacement even though I had informed the office and property manager that my former roommate’s cat caused the damage. I was under the impression I would not be charged for it.

I am being charged paint fees for both my bedroom and bathroom despite the fact that I asked numerous times if we were allowed to hang things in the room or if we would be charged for doing that and I was told numerous times there would only be a charge if the holes in the wall were larger than a quarter. I know for a fact none of the holes are larger than a quarter. It is not okay to lie to residents and try to get more money out of us.

We are disputing the Damage and Trash charges on this Move Out Statement below:1 - Closet Shelf Charge - $15.00 -- shelf was not damaged, rod was removed and was in closet with screws so that it could be reattached if desired2- Full Paint - Bedroom $120.00 - my daughter moved in and accepted the room 'as is' and it was not painted before her move-in. She was not made aware that you would charge her for previous tenants damage. This is not our responsibility.3 - Trash Fee - $12.50 - my daughter was told that the lamps pictured were provided by The Summit, so she is not responsible for disposal.4 - Common Area Paint - $35 - it is a management responsibility to clean and paint between tenants. Also, the picture provided is not clear and not sure of what damage is there.

I was charged for pain chipping in my bathroom near the toilet and the tub even though those damages were there upon my move in two years ago. I was also charged for pain chipping behind the couch in our living room and that was also something that was there upon my arrival two years ago.

I saw that there was a damage fee of $50 for a blind in which that I did not break. Before moving in to this place, my blind was heavily damaged and very dirty. I then got a replacement blind in which was brand new and great. I had that replacement blind in brand new condition even after I moved out. That picture that depicts one small microscopic blind piece broken off was not in my doing. I would like more answers as I kept my whole room in pristine condition for the next guests in all aspects. As you can see on your end, I took multiple pictures for pre-inspection before I moved in and there were multiple items I had to replace such as the blinds, curtain rods and door handle and overall dirtiness and filth. Please advise. Thank you.Best,Drew Thanasack
