I was charged for damage of the couch and chair which were already damaged before I moved in. I was unable to submit the damages when I first moved in because the inspection form was not available on the portal because I moved in early. I had talked to the workers at the office at that time and they said as long as someone in my apartment submits those photos that it was fine and I would not be charged. My roommate Lillian Kerpsack submitted photos of the couch and chair damage when she first moved in which was before I even moved in. She was not charged the damage and I should also not be charged because the damage was already there and the office workers told me that since she submitted the photos, I would not be charged as well.I was also charged for a missing parking tag. I moved out at the beginning of May and did not have my car at that time because I needed a larger car to move out. When I turned in my other keys at the office they said I could mail in my parking tag and I would not be charged. I mailed in the parking tag the following day. I am unsure if Summit lost my parking tag but I did mail it in in the beginning of May and was told I would not be charged. It also states that I moved out on July 31st, which is incorrect and the parking tag was mailed in May.

Hello,I am shocked by the charges you are demanding from me, and I am absolutely unwilling to pay them. It is a complete joke that you are charging me for leaving a blanket and toilet paper for the next tenant. Just put yourself in the position of someone moving into a new room: how grateful would you be to find toilet paper and a really high-quality, expensive blanket already there? Furthermore, the $50 charge for the carpet is completely unjustified based on the photo. For this reason, I don’t want to pay such an exorbitant amount, it is, quite frankly, an absolute outrage and, contrary to my earlier plans, I no longer intend to move into The Summit when I return to Athens next year.Maurits Ross

There were clear and present damages to the common area/bedrooms prior to our moving in. Many of the damages listed and charged for are a result of PET DAMAGE. You will notice in our lease agreement that we did NOT HAVE A PET. The cat pee that made the apartment stink the entirety of our stay was not addressed despite my roommate’s pleas, and the damages to furniture are visibly from a cat scratching. He took photos and we WILL be pursuing reimbursement for these fees. There are cleaning fees as well, which I find particularly hilarious considering how dirty it was upon us moving in (it was clearly not cleaned by management). The apartment was BARE when we left, there was no trash to remove, and I painstakingly made sure of that by myself.

I am disputing the charges for the painting for the bedroom and carpet cleaning. When Erin moved in, in August 2024- we were supposed to have freshly painted room with clean carpet at that time and it was not. I had cleaned it to the best of my ability. We also already had chipped paint and nail holes on the wall. I had emailed Sophia - the leasing consultant, she states that as long as it was marked on Erin's check list it wouldn't be charged on move out. The holes in the wall could be up to a dime size hole. I am not saying in 2 years time there aren't any additional marks or stains, however since they were not addressed or fixed in the 2 years that she was there and it needed painting anyway she shouldn't be charged for that. Erin tried to access her move in check list from that time on the portal was since it was over a year ago, it wouldn't allow her to access it. I still how my email to Sophia I can forward to you, it will not allow me to attach it here because of the way it's formatted, but I have a few photos of move in day. You can contact me by email if needed and I can forward the email I have from Sophia , the leasing consultant at that time , if you need it.

Hello. I am requesting a photograph image of the envelope that had my keys and parking pass enclosed as proof that my mailbox key was missing. To my knowledge, I had all keys and turned everything in when I moved out on Sunday, May 27th. I would like proof on that end that I was missing that key. Please provide that to me at your earliest convenience as to avoid the collections process that was mentioned in the statement.

I did not know that we needed to turn in the parking passes because they were for the 25-26 year, so it would be invalid this year anyway. I was wondering if there was any documentation that stated we would need to turn these back in, because I don't recall seeing anything until after I had already moved out.

Why am I being charged $35 dollars for two simple tasks? That shower curtain was there when I first moved in, and we replaced it at the start. I re-equipped it when I moved out, thinking that it was a curtain provided by the apartment complex and now I get charged $25 for it? That doesn’t seem right. Now for the bed slate, it looks like you can just slide it back in to the slot no problem. Why try to charge me $10? Just put it back in.

We moved my belongings out on June 5th but we turned off all AC and lights on May 19th when I initially left. There is no reason that there should be ANY electrical charges after I left in May. These photos attached were taken when we finally moved out on June 5th and turned in our keys.
