I got a stovetop damage charge. However, that was already broken when we moved in. Also, the pain removal towards the top of the walls shown in the pictures was also already there before we moved in.

It said furniture needed to be replaced and I do not understand what I could’ve damaged for that to be the case. It also stated I had damaged a window which I did not do. Also it’s charging me 200 dollars for not returning my key which I left somewhere in the room but I’m assuming that doesn’t count so makes sense for me to get the 50 dollar charge we were told for the key but 200 is four times that so not sure why that is. Thanks so much for your help in sorting this out and please let me know when you can how to proceed

There was a $250.00 charge put on my account regarding the condition of the stove in my apartment. The picture that was sent looks exactly how the stove was when I arrived. Through the duration of my stay in the apartment the stove worked fine and had no issues. I am not sure why I am being charged because the stove remained in the same condition since the beginning of my stay and worked the same through my entire time in the apartment.

My concern is with two charges. First, the $500 Turn Cleaning Fee is high for a single studio unit and is listed only as “Heavy Clean” with no breakdown. Please provide the labor hours billed, the hourly rate, and whether the work was done in-house or by a contractor. If the documented time and cost do not support $500, I request that it be reduced to reflect the actual work performed.Second, the $110 Turn Paint Fee appears to cover minor scuffs and marks on the walls consistent with normal wear and tear over a full lease term. Under New York law, normal wear and tear is not a chargeable item, so I request that this charge be removed, or that you identify the specific damage beyond normal wear that justifies a full repaint. In summary: I accept the $75 trash fee, request an itemized labor breakdown and a reasonable reduction of the $500 cleaning fee, and request removal of the $110 paint fee as normal wear and tear.

I am questioning the FMO charge of $105.00 for a missing mailbox key. The move out checklist indicates that the charge for a missing mailbox key is $50.00.

I noticed the charge for the unreturned mailbox key. Could you provide an invoice or explanation of how this amount was calculated? If simply a duplicate key is being made, New York state law limits key reproduction fees to 110% of the actual cost of reproducing the key. If the mailbox lock is being changed, I'd like to see documentation or otherwise proof of this process. https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/laws/RPP/235-I

I was charged $105 for a missing mail key. I was never given a mail key upon move in, and I have never had a theory mail key in my possession. The employee that assisted in the move-in process assured me I would not be charged for a missing mail key upon move-out, since I was never given one.

I was told on the phone the other day that my key charges would be dropped and removed completely. I was told my total would be a little under $500. The lady on the phone said I could fill out this form if it was still on there, since I do have all three keys still and I'll be up the 9th to return them. So, my total should be $491.67. Every other charge I will pay for, so if my key charge could be dropped, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I left syracuse to go home in October and my parking tag was returned to the office when I left and given to another resident. My mailbox key was returned separately then the rest of my keys because I left it at home when I came to move stuff out. It was returned with my roomate annie Johnson’s keys, but in a separate envelope with my name and labeled what key it was. Because me leaving and the office was aware I wasn’t living there all year, the only charges I should have are the paint fee and the trash from my bedding. Everything else should be under my roommates.

Hi, I noticed that a $100 cleaning charge was deducted from my deposit, and I would like to dispute this charge. Prior to moving out, I made sure to thoroughly clean both my personal space and the shared/common areas, leaving the unit in good condition. Because of this, I do not believe there was enough cleaning required to justify an additional $100 fee. I would appreciate it if you could review this charge. Thank you
