Unsafe, Unreliable, Unresolved – And We’re Still Getting NowhereBought the car and left a 5* review following the sales experience - all went downhill from there. We realised a couple of days after purchase the seatbelt in the back was faulty and unusable (MOT failure) and at 3k miles (15 July) had total failure 4 hours from home. We were asked to collect a hire car - poor quality (filthy and battered - quite different to the nearly new car we were paying for). This was promised to be swapped the following Monday after we complained about the car failure, Audi assist service and general lack of care - this never happened. The car was with Audi for 5 weeks as the fault couldn’t been found. In the end it was faulty wiring which should never have happened. Audi confirmed this would had been faulty from the manufacturer so the car was sold and released to us with 2 fundamental faults. We have made it explicitly clear that we wish to reject the car but are still going through the motions with various Audi complaints teams to no avail. The car now has intermittent brake faults telling us to stop the car immediately. Why we are being forced to keep a car that was released in an unsafe manner, is unreliable and has not been fixed despite 5 weeks in the garage is beyond us. Tyneside need to agree the rejection apparently - so get on with it please so we can go back to a dealer we trust and can rely on.
