The car purchased had some faults which should have been picked up before collection,it wasn't mentioned that the centre console was damaged or showed in any pictures, the car is excellent though and customer service was excellent Jon Kells had made sure I was in good hands.

Now that I have the car and had time to really pour over it, it is clear that the prep is not at the standard I have witnessed at some dealers. This is the first used vehicle I have purchased in 20 years and it can be seen that wheel damage has been poorly rectified and there has been no prep under the bonnet. After driving for a day the entire fuel filler assembly popped out of the car. I called the sales exec for help and 2 days later, service contacted me to which I informed them I had rectified the issue myself. The retaining tabs inside look to have been bent at some stage and whoever tried to rectify the initial issue could not manage to fit it properly. This obviously raises thoughts of why it was out and has the car had body work? Apart from that the car is a joy to drive and the overall sales experience was good. End of the day this is a used vehicle but still a premium product and a twenty thousand pound purchase! I understand the economics of departmental costs and putting cars on the forecourt with minimal prep keeps cost down but a little more attention to detail, a polish and wax would go a long way.

It’s looking like my car will be even further delayed, but the emails from Audi are quite vague… maybe something the team can’t help with but feedback to Audi people would just prefer clarity rather than vagueness. It mentions the email “if you need to keep your existing car longer then the team could help with service” what does that actually mean in reality? Audi will pay for my service? Will contribute to new tyres if needed etc - maybe they could reach out to people individually vs the generic messages.
