I do not agree with the cleaning charges. Ryan had to the clean 703-B side. Seth did not clean his side of the room upon leaving. The walls, bed and floor were full of his used nicotine mouth pouches and other wall stains. We did the best we could. Both Seth and current resident in 703-C/D left spoiled food in refrigerator and cabinets. Ryan had to remove and throw away these items. Due to this we had to purchase additional cleaning supplies.

Well for one I officially moved out a few months prior and haven’t been back since and asked the individual at the front desk I believe his name was Andrew for email confirmation of this at the time. Before moving out I cleaned my room and anything I left in the kitchen I did notice my roommate had left some trash and dishes out but those where his and I was moving out so I left them as I found it, I’m not sure if he is currently living there or has gone home for the summer but I’m not responsible for a mess or damages caused by another tenet so I will be disputing these charges

My lease end date and move-out date were 07/25/2026. I was not given a full 24-hour period to clean out the unit. On August 3rd, I informed staff in advance (via text with Austen Hernandez) that I would not be in town from the 1st to the 3rd, and needed to coordinate people to move my belongings remotely. Staff told me that the longer it took, the more it would negatively affect the next tenant moving into the overlapping unit, which pressured me to vacate faster than the full 24 hours I was entitled to. I was also cleaning on behalf of my roommates in addition to my own belongings, which added to the time and effort required.Additionally, I was charged three separate ‘Turn Cleaning Fee’ charges on 08/07/2026 ($125.00, $10.00, and $13.33), this appears to be a billing error. I am not disputing the Turn Paint Fee ($184.00) and understand I am responsible for that charge.

Dear University Gateway Team,I am writing to formally dispute the charges listed on the recent financial move-out statement. We spent eight hours cleaning the apartment upon move-out. The damages claimed were not present when we left, and any other minor issues fall under normal wear and tear, which should not be charged. Please find the attached photos documenting the condition of the apartment.Thank you,Andrea Tickle

Not entirely sure what the “ Martinez, Chelsea -Turn Cleaning Fee WorkOrder Fees - Clean -Medium Clean - Clean -Medium Clean” is supposed to mean. I cleaned the apartment to the best of my abilities on July 18 before I officially moved out. Most of the pictures in the FMO are areas that are shared, which I also made sure to clean before I had moved out.

Got charged for a window replacement in the common area when the windows were perfectly fine at move out and there is no visible damage or reason to replace present in the photos provided in the statement. Whoever detailed our apartment clearly tried to stick us with every charge possible and charged my roommates as well for paint damage when the pictures they provided don’t show any damage whatsoever.

It says that I am room D, however, I am supposed to be in room B. I lived in room B the entire duration of my rent.

I was not in the apartment at all between 6/01-7/25. I don’t see why I have to pay the $53 electricity bill when I already paid for the $30 as part of the rent for July.

None of the trash depicted in the FMO were mine. I took out all of my trash and belongings on the day I moved out on July 18, 2026 at around 3:30 PM. The food, water, and lamps in the kitchen and living room belonged to the other roommates. I would’ve thrown them out or kept them myself if I knew they were going to leave it.

I remember Gateway sending all of us residents an email saying that if we don’t want anything, we label them as “DISPOSE.” I did that and they took money away from my deposit when I did exactly what they told me to do.
