I put my key fob and card into an envelope and turned it in via the instructions that the person working the desk gave me. It doesn’t make sense why I am being charged for them

I was charged for not returning a mail key, however a mail key was never provided upon move in. Every time I had to check mail, I was instructed to ask the mail room worker to open the mailbox, and was still not provided a key.

I would like to dispute all the moveout charges on my end because I was the first one to move out and I cleaned everything and I took all of my stuff. Anything left over that you had to clean or takeout was not mine and it was my other roommates responsibility, which she said she would do and I do not want to pay for her mistakes.

We never received a mail key when we moved in. We were told that whenever we needed our mail we should notify the front desk to open it for us because our key hole was broken. Also we tried so hard to clean that vinyl flooring but it was impossible. How are you going to install the most difficult to clean flooring and charge cleaning fees when it’s difficult to clean. There was no abnormal mess that should have resulted in a charge.

As of the quarterly inspection in March, no concerns were listed where the walls/ceiling were the same in the common area. I'm unsure of why these were flagged as these were present from the time I moved in, including when the quarterly inspection had taken place.Regarding the stove, I had cleaned that when moving out in May. Not sure of anything that may have fallen after that. The floors of the common area and bathroom were like that when I had moved in, even when I cleaned them when moving out.I cleaned the toilet and bathtub when moving out in May. The yellowing I've observed occurs when it's been left untouched for some time like when I was off for winter break at the end of December-January for a month. This is standing water. This is not my fault and I shouldn't be charged for this.I'd like clarification of what the issue for the bathtub and sink were. The smudges on the side of the wall near the mirror had existed from before the time my roommate had moved out in September, and even before I had moved in in August. I've attached an image of the smudges that had existed. I should thus not be charged for this.I didn't notice monetary charges listed for the common area and bathroom so I'm unsure of how the charges added up to be $155 in total. If someone could email and call me at the number listed above to clarify, I'd appreciate it.

I have had multiple negative experiences with a Facilities Manager, Charlie Blake, at my location 3335 S Figueroa St. Los Angeles, CA, 90007. Over the past few times when he has conducted inspections of my apartment, he has been disrespectful and unnecessarily belligerent and I would like to file a formal complaint against him as a result.I like to keep my apartment a shoe-free zone and require all guests to take off their shoes before entering. The first time I encountered Mr. Blake during an inspection, I requested he please remove his shoes before entering my home. He dismissed my request by saying "We're not going to do that", and physically pushed past me into my residence. He explained that there were safety concerns that prevented him from being able to take off his shoes, and after speaking with management, they recommended I purchase shoe coverings. The second encounter with Mr. Blake was at quarterly inspection a couple of weeks ago. This time, I had written a sign outside of my door requesting that any persons entering my residence wear shoe coverings (the sign and shoe coverings had been taped to the door). When I opened the door to Mr. Blake and another housing manager, Austin, I saw that he had not complied with my request and asked him to again put on the shoe coverings to which he once again said "We're not going to do that." I reaffirmed that I would not be letting anyone inside of my residence until they put on shoe coverings, and he ignored me and tried to push past me again. I put my hand out to stop him as I did not want him to push me aside like he had done the last time, and he ran into my hand - to which he jumped backwards and said with his voice now raised, "If you put your hands on me again you're going to get a violation against your lease agreement for failure to comply with inspections."I was able to de-escalate this situation as I realized that Mr. Blake did not understand my shoe covering request, and he thought I was asking him to take his shoes off. Once he understood I was asking him to put covers over his shoes, he dropped all previous animosity and instantly complied with my request. Had he read my sign or registered that I was saying "Shoe Coverings", we could have avoided the negative interaction.Afterwards, I spoke to a housing manager and expressed that I was deeply dissatisfied with Mr. Blake's behavior, and I would not be threatened in my own home. He agreed that the interaction was negative and unnecessary and put something in my file for future inspections to wear my provided shoe coverings. At this point, I was not going to file a complaint. I realize that shoe coverings are not the biggest deal in the world. However, today, a third incident occurred. Mr. Blake showed up again for another inspection. I once again requested that Mr. Blake wear the provided shoe coverings and he denied me for a third time, saying he didn't have the time, saying, "if I do it for you, I have to do it for everyone else." He once again was overly-aggressive and condescending before conducting his inspection and leaving. My concern is not the disagreement over shoe coverings themselves, but rather the repeated pattern of dismissive, confrontational, and threatening behavior that has accompanied multiple interactions with Mr. Blake while he has been conducting inspections of my residence. I understand and am fully compliant with the expectations that University Gateway and Peakmade place on residents in accordance with the lease agreement, and nowhere does it say that residents shall be treated with disrespect, threatened, or condescended on a regular basis.Across multiple interactions, I have been nothing but calm, respectful, and understanding towards my housing managers, going so far as to financially inconvenience myself by purchasing shoe coverings to convenience the inspectors. All I ask is for the facilities managers to maintain the same level of respect and understanding for their residents. As a resolution, I respectfully request:1. A formal apology from Mr. Blake regarding his conduct during these interactions.2. Written confirmation that a note has been added to my resident profile requiring inspectors to utilize shoe coverings during future inspections.I am happy to continue supplying shoe coverings and placing them outside my door for staff use, or alternatively, University Gateway may provide them to facilities personnel as it sees fit.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
