Working at VA left a bad taste in my mouth. The lack of communication or the lack of training “superiors” needs to be reviewed. It’s fortunate that the elderly and sick depend on these folks when the business is all about money! They made mistakes on my hours and checks. Barely trained you and supervisor was rude. Stay away, it’s not worth the minimum wage!

We needed someone to be with our sister for a week which included two Saturdays and one Sunday. The caregivers from Visiting Angels were amazing, each with their own particular style that kept our sister both entertained as well as helping her through the days while we were away. The instructions we left were followed and we found that we did not have to worry about her eating, which was our big concern. She even cooked one day with a caregiver. Thank you Visiting Angels.

Visiting Angels, owner Dan Pope, has been such a blessing for us. Shannon and staff have been extremely willing and helpful in scheduling, encouragement, and help. Kathy Keeley is just a God send and she is very good with our family member. She is also fantastic with informing of things we need to know about and supportive suggestions. Thank you everyone at Visiting Angels for making this stage in our loved ones life a more comfortable one for all of us.

January 12, 2026 TO: Visiting Angels FROM: Linda Marlin RE: Recognition for Elena DATE: January 12, 2026 My husband, Bob Marlin, has been using the services of Visiting Angels for the past several months. We have had a handful of caregivers in our home covering several shifts, but Elena has been someone who has stood out as being exceptional. From the moment we met her, she has been friendly, reliable, very respectful, kind, compassionate, trustworthy, and hard-working; she really is a joy to be around! She is also such a caring “caregiver” to Bob every time she is here. She is attentive to his needs, and she interacts with him every time they are together. She picked up on Bob’s past hobbies of listening to his record collection, talking about History, his coin collection, hockey, and our grandchildren. It’s also been so appreciated that I have been able to take a break from my caregiving duties knowing I can always trust her to take charge and most importantly, be resourceful so I am not interrupted all the time (I am busy with a lot of computer/paperwork on a regular basis) and I just love it that she can take over at a moment’s notice. In addition to “being there” for Bob, she is wonderful at keeping our home in order, doing household tasks, greeting people and deliveries that come often. She does everything with a smile (and a wonderful attitude). She is always thinking of ways to make my time with her easier and less stressful. I cannot say enough about what she does for us on a regular basis. She is such a delightful person, and we are so lucky to have her as often as we do! She has been handpicked and well-trained, and her commitment to caring for others radiates from her heart. She’s a keeper!

Delilah Gonzales is my dads caregiver in the Longview, TX area. We met Mrs. Gonzales over the holidays this past year, and she is absolutely remarkable. With all the kids being in different states, it was so important that we got a caregiver that sets our worries at ease. Delilah has done just that. She gives with all her heart, and treats my dad as if he was her own. What a special young lady you guys have there in eastern TX. Thank you so much for sending her to be our caregiver.

It is with total Love and Admiration that I speak of the Spokane Visiting Angels. With all my heart, the most important thing to me was to be able to keep my Sweetheart here at home with me. After his terminal diagnosis, and then an unfortunate fall I took, it was soon apparent that I would need some help. We were visited by a very supportive individual (Linda), who explained thoroughly the program and how very soon it could be put in place. We started with four hours a day, five days a week. Our Caregiver (Peggy) was nothing less than a "gem". A gift from God. The agency could not have made a more perfect match for our needs. She soon folded us into her arms and, I will honestly say, that she will forever remain an adopted family member. Denny loved her, trusted her and enjoyed that she shared the love of sports, golf, teasing, music, and overall kindness, hugs and all. She brought added joy into his life and the added support I needed. She always arrived with a smile and tenderness in her heart. We maintained the 20 per week service for nearly two months when it became apparent that we needed to obtain 24 hour, 7 day per week service. Alex & Linda facilitated that immediately. Peggy's hours increased to 8 hours per day and then with the next 8 hour shift, we were introduced to Kaylee. Another true angel. How truly fortunate could we be to have this soft spoken, kind and capable young woman to follow Peggy's hours? She was another gift. Kaylee performed all of her duties with utmost interest and kindness. Always a smile and especially encouraging when tougher times came. She shared Denny's love for music, loved to get him telling life stories and on the day of his unexpected evening passing, she brought her guitar and assisted him in playing one last time. They even sang together and playing guitar had been another love in his life. Kaylee even took extra steps to write special notes to weekend caregivers, or fill-in's regarding his well-being. Reminding others that he was a fall risk, that he loved to tell stories, that he loved sports, and kitties and that sometimes he did repetitive things, but that it was ok. She made an extra effort to make sure a transition between caregivers was seamless. He loved Kaylee too. The night-time 8 hour shifts brought Sandra into our lives. How could one agency match us up with three superior Angels? It takes a great amount of compassion to fulfill this role in life and we experienced the best. Nighttime brings its own unique perils and Sandra handled it with grace and dignity for her client at all times. Her soothing mannerisms and the support she brought to both of us on his passing will never be forgotten. He did not pass with strangers in the room, he passed with me at his side and Sandra helping to comfort him. Of course, over time, we had other one or two shift Angels who were very good, and I would be remiss if I did not mention Cody, the only male caregiver we experienced. He endeared himself immediately and Denny asked if we could please request his return over weekends and the holidays. I did make such a request, it was immediately approved, but time here did not allow that to come to be. In closing, I must say, the Visiting Angels brought comfort to our family during Denny's journey. If ever you should need this type of service for someone you dearly love, you could rest assured that Angels are there to help you with compassion and love. I will never be able to thank the Visiting Angels of Spokane enough and especially those I have spoken of today. God Bless all of you!

I am so thankful for the kind, empathetic, and professional care provided by Visiting Angels. My caregiver Charita truly made my rapid recovery after my knee surgery possible. When I didn’t need as much personal care, her help with light housekeeping and laundry kept our spirits up and the apartment tidy, I wholeheartedly recommend Visiting Angels to anyone needing home health care,
