My mother needed support from Visiting Angels on 3 different occasions over 2 years. Betty was the final caregiver who was the most caring, compassionate and genuinely interested in my mother. She knew what needed to be taken care of without being asked and did everything beautifully. She was very respectful of the family, my mother's need for alone time and seemed to always know when she wanted to out for a walk. With the passing of my mother, I've kept contact with Betty who feels like one of our family.

After using several other caregiver services, we switched to Visiting Angels for care for my sister who is living with dementia. The management and office staff is professional and competent. We have not had any problems with billing or scheduling. My sister's current caregiver, Samantha, is doing a terrific job working with her. It is such a relief to have someone with whom we can share ideas and the workload. Highly recommended.

My mother has been receiving services from Visiting Angels for about two years and I have used other services/agencies prior to them. Selecting service can be stressful as you want only the best situation for your mom. I just can tell you that the service they provide has been amazing. They discuss everything to ensure they meet my mom's needs. The Angels that are assigned to her are amazing. But none of this could happen without Ty and Kelley. The are professional and so very kind. Most recently, I had an event and had to add overnight care to my support. Yes, I was nervous. They exceeded my expectations with scheduling and assigning the right caregivers to meet our needs. I refer to Ty and Kelley as "my angels." They have made this difficult life experience so pleasant. In a couple of months it will be 4 years that we have used Visiting Angels. I have nothing but high praise for the caregivers that take care of my mother in law. We have Ms. Lori, Ms. Bridget that rotate days. We use overnight care with Ms. Naomi, Ms.Arica and Ms. Shae. They are all wonderful. My mother in law is happy to see who is coming to visit everyday. They listen to her favorite music and dance, go on walks, and sit outside with the dogs. In addition we are thankful to have Ms. Michelle in the office as one of our schedulers. She is super helpful and responsive when we need a schedule change or adding additional care. We are super blessed with our care team.

My wife developed dementia at the very early age of 58. Visiting Angels(VA) became our key support organization in the last 12 months before she had to enter a memory care facility. Patty Fitzgerald, her primary care giver from VA, is the most compassionate, sensitive and loving care giver I could ever imagine. She quickly became my wife’s best friend and most trusted care giver. So much so that Patty continues to visit Jill twice per week simply because of a mutual love and affection. By the end of 2023 my mother was showing signs of dementia. Mixing up or forgetting to take her medications was becoming a real problem, not to mention driving off the road and wandering around her property made it clear I would have to take her car keys. The day had come that I would have to get someone to take care of the day to day things she would need help with. I wanted to be able to keep my mother’s independence by having someone help with being safe living in her house and not having to put her in an assisted living facility. So I had my childhood friend Ken help me interview a couple of caregivers. Since Ken was in the medical field and worked with patients and nurses I felt he would help me make the right choice on choosing someone with the qualities necessary to take care of my mom and put my mind at ease. Since my mother is in Virginia and I’m in New York this was important I got it right the first time. After interviewing three caregivers Ken and I agreed that Wendy from Visiting Angels was a perfect fit. My mother immediately clicked with Wendy after giving me such a hard time about how she didn’t want anyone helping her. Wendy was a little nervous meeting us for the first time and it was evident that Wendy was different than the others. She has a great personality and presented the skills that would be important handeling an independent person like my mother. So far choosing Wendy from visiting angels has rewarded my mother and I with companionship, a true caregiver that has included my mother with her family on holidays, camping, and even weddings. Wendy even slept over when my mother had early morning doctor appointments, or stayed the night when snow storms would make the next mornings commute impossible since the mountain road has a steep switch back. There’s so much more to say. Pictures and videos Wendy sends from time to time, setting up her 90th birthday party, dressing up like an elf while her husband showed up in a Santa suit complete with beard and presents. As her dementia is progressively worsening Wendy has taken her calls for help in the middle of the night , numerous times, and showed up to help her up when she fell or went in early that morning to make sure she was ok. Even my mother’s friends and neighbors are impressed and reassure me that “Miss Mary” as Wendy calls her is in the best care we could have gotten. It’s rare to find someone like Wendy and the support that she has from the visiting angels staff. Thanks Wendy, Neil Markey
