When I first learned that I had COVID 19, I felt nothing but panic. Not only was I going to have to cope with the virus, I would have to cope with taking on the activities of daily living on top of the new stuff. I was thinking that it might be helpful to develop a handout of hints for people who are facing the lack of professional care I am used to receiving. 1/ An explanation ahead of time for the reasons why no care will be available so alternatives could be put in place. 2/ The agency trusting the results of Covid test administered by a caregiver who is not a regular. 3/ Lack of solid information on resuming regular caregiver services. 4/ Another point, I felt abandoned. If you felt like "being between a rock and a hard place," imagine how I must feel.
