We reached out to Visiting Angels just over a year ago for assistance - attracted to your agency for the promise of assistance with long-term care disability claims and coordination with VA, Medicare and Hospice. We also liked that we would have "Angels" watching over our elderly friend and god-father to our children! And they were, every single one of your staff were Angels here with us during the last year of our friend's life. They gave him the gift of care and conversation and endless glasses of water ( he continually forgot he had a glass already in his hands!) We especially want to commend to you the services of Deogratias Bihimana - it is challenging to find male caregivers and whatever you are paying this caregiver of yours it isn't enough. You want to keep him! He was amazing and he has a great big heart to which our fiend responded to even in his last days. I shall not forget him standing there, at the ready for any need, but with tears welled up in his eyes as the hospice nurse called in a chaplain to sing - beautiful song about your heart being where you are loved. Deo would also sing to our friend and he loved it! Your Tucson office staff were responsive, kind and the perfect mix of practical but compassionate. Becky Ratliff-Bosh was hugely helpful the entire year we had Visiting Angels with us. Would I use Visiting Angels for myself? Absolutely. I noted that you can contact me below but not necessary -but if you have any questions feel free to contact me. If I had any suggestions it would be that the restrictions on eating with clients might need a little flexibility in them since elders often eat better if someone eats with them. The other thing is the ending of services is very, very immediate! I would have paid extra to not have the cut off be like the minute he passed - bit disorienting and maybe hard on the caregivers too. No transition time for them. Some families maybe can't pay for that but could be an offered thing for those that would like a little bridge from having help to having no Angels about. Good luck hiring male caregivers - hire as many as you can get I would advise.

My mom is in assisted living and I am hearing very positive feedback from the staff and her caregivers about Visiting Angles. We don’t have any family in the area and it is reassuring to know that mom gets the attention and socialization she needs from Visiting Angles.

I was very impressed with the scope of the tasks that Visiting Angels would do-- companionship, cooking, cleaning, supervision of medicine-taking, etc. They took feedback and suggestions very well. Each "angel" would also provide written notes as to how their time with the client was spent, and any noteworthy activities of the client-- super helpful when preparing to go to his doctor. Many of the caretakers said that they were reading up on the diagnosis of the client (in this case, Lewy Body dementia) so that they could provide the optimum care. They made an effort to connect with the client, initiating conversation with him. I appreciated how they let the client do as much as he could on his own to help with his mental stimulation. When there were problems, they were dealt with quickly and efficiently. I would recommend Visiting Angels to others needing in-home care.

Have 37 years working with seniors. But I would to work here in casa grande Arizona I worked in California all those years. Just moved to casa grande Arizona. And woring for the school district with special need children.

My mother is taking care of my father who is living with Dementia. She made a call to Visiting Angels and was treated like family. Marina is the Angel that is helping my parents and she is amazing! My Mom and Dad have a new family member. Thank you Visiting Angels.

We needed assistance to allow our 98-year old stepmom to continue to live independently. Vising Angels' Becky made an appointment to visit and determined the kind of support our stepmom would need. She matched her up with the perfect person. We had decided we needed someone who could come in and prepare the week's meals while doing other helpful chores around the house. The match is perfect. Our stepmom is eating better, she has someone to do the driving as needed, and a helpful hand around the house. We are very relieved. Thanks, Visiting Angels.
