Overall my experience was positive - until the final negotiation around price. I always knew the specification of the vehicle I was looking for, so service and price were the main areas of my focus.Towards the end, it was a straightforward matter of the best price I was offered.I asked Wearside Audi for their best possible price and that price fell short of what I had already been offered elsewhere.However when I made it clear I was going to buy the vehicle from another dealer, I was asked what price and package I had been offered, so that Wearside Audi could match or beat that deal, obviously meaning that the previous “final offer” from Wearside Audi was not really their best offer available.I would prefer to have bought my car from my local dealer, but the fact that their best offer was left too late, meant that it was not to be.
